Robin Ochei is a fourth-year student at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, as well as a Psychology minor at the City College of New York. Robin’s past experiences include Vice President of the American Medical Student Association, as well as training with various community health clerkships. As a direct result of her work at Community Healthcare Network, Robin began to think more seriously about tobacco related health disparities, specifically as they relate to the creation and implementation of evidence based tobacco treatment and tobacco cessation interventions among certain racial and SES sub populations. These experiences and her growing interest in tobacco related health disparities, led her to apply to the TREND program, which she is currently involved with. Robin’s interests also include the application of public policy to sectors such as education and healthcare. Robin is currently the Policy Director for Education at the Roosevelt Institute at CCNY.
