Vicki Sun is a BS/MD student majoring in Biomedical Sciences at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City College of New York, CUNY. She is a TREND Fellowship Scholar, and is working as a Research Assistant on Drs. James Root and Lesia Ruglass on their pilot research project which examines racial differences in cue reactivity and smoking-related cues among smokers. Ms. Sun has assisted previous research projects as a volunteer both at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center as well as at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Both positions allowed her to become familiar with distributing and collecting surveys, entering data, and maintaining a research database, in addition to allowing her to become more familiar with a wide array of administrative tasks and gain experience working with patients and research subjects.
